This Date in College Football History

Dec. 27, 1971: At Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, 51,098 watch as Arizona State beats Florida State in the first-ever Fiesta Bowl 45-38. Tied 38-38, Sun Devil quarterback Danny White (1998 College Football Hall of Fame inductee) leads a 57-yard drive setting up halfback Woody Green's winning two-yard touchdown run with :34 seconds left in the game.
