Dec. 22, 2003: In Orlando, North Carolina State beats Kansas 56-26 in the Tangerine Bowl. Wolfpack quarterback Phillip Rivers sets an NCAA record, starting his 54th college football game. Rivers throws 37-45 for 475 yards and five touchdowns as he sets a new Tangerine Bowl passing record.
