This Date in College Football History

Nov. 7, 1970: Trailing Minnesota 14-7 entering the third quarter, Northwestern fullback and future broadcaster Mike Adamle rallies team to a 28- 14 win, capped off by a five-yard touchdown with 1:05 left in Evanston. Adamle scores all four of the Wildcats' touchdowns, as he sets a Big Ten record rushing 48 times for 192 yards.
