Small School Players of the Week - Week Eleven

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

QB Ryan Berry, South Dakota State

Berry set MVC and SDSU single-game records with seven touchdown passes in a 52-21 romp over Illinois State. Berry completed 17-of-29 passes for 237 yards. Berry set South Dakota State career records for completions and touchdown passes in this performance.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

DE Dana Fletcher, Montana State

Fletcher came up big in their upset of No. 23 Northern Arizona before missing the fourth quarter with an injury. He finished with six stops, four tackles for loss, a sack, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, and blocked two kicks in the victory. The first blocked kick was of an extra point in the first quarter and in the second quarter he blocked a punt that resulted in a safety. While trailing in the first quarter, Fletcher forced and recovered a fumble as well. Three plays later, the Bobcats scored to take a 7-6 lead.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

KR A.J. Kizekai, Bucknell

Kizekai finished with a school record 210 kickoff return yards in the Bison’s 38-21 loss to Lafayette. He returned a kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown and averaged 35 yards per return. Kizekai's 100-yard scoring return tied the game at seven in the first quarter and was the second touchdown return in his career. Kizekai also became Bucknell's career leader in kickoff return yardage.
