Big East: Hunter Cantwell Injury Update

Louisville coach Steve Kragthorpe says quarterback Hunter Cantwell's injured left ankle won't stop him from starting on Friday at Memphis.

Cantwell injured the ankle while scrambling late in the third quarter of a 26-21 loss to Connecticut on Sept. 26. Kragthorpe said Monday that Cantwell's recovery has gone smoothly and that Cantwell could have played last weekend if the Cardinals (2-2) had a game.

Kragthorpe said the bye week means the Cardinals should be over the loss to the Huskies and ready for the Tigers (3-3). Memphis has won three straight games, including a 33-30 win over UAB last weekend.
