Oct. 17, 1992: Washington State opens the season 6-0 for the first time since 1930 with a 30-17 win over UCLA in Pullman. Cougar linebacker Ron Childs returns an interception for a touchdown while Deron Pointer returns a kickoff 98 yards for a touchdown to start the second half.
