Two-time Heisman Trophy winner and Buckeyes legend Archie Griffin has compared Beanie Wells to football icon and Hall of Famer Jim Brown. An explosive, compact runner, Wells is the complete package—he combines speed, strength, acceleration, vision and patience to let holes develop. The junior has proven to handle the workload and his bruising running style can wear on opposing defenses, evidenced by several late, game-changing plays Wells has rattled off early on in his career. Defenders do not relish trying to bring this Buckeye down. Wells was slowed down by a toe injury early in the season, but rolls into this contest coming off a season-high 31 carries against Michigan St. There’s nothing not to like about this stellar back.
