Oct. 20, 1956: Playing in 90 mile-per-hour winds, Texas A&M upsets No. 4 Texas Christian University in "The Hurricane Game." The Horned Frogs reach the Aggies' goal line three times in the first half, but are unable to convert. A controversial call by the referees declares that future College Football Hall of Famer Jim Swink's dive into the end zone is inches shy of the goal line. Future Hall of Famer John David Crow's eight-yard touchdown catch plus Loyd Taylor's extra point seal the Aggies 7-6 win in College Station.
