Oct. 14, 1889: Christy Mathewson of Bucknell boots a 40-yard dropkick for the only points in the Bison’s 5-0 victory over Lehigh. He later becomes one of just four student-athletes who are members of both the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown and the College Baseball Hall of Fame in Lubbock, Texas.
