Sept. 22, 1973: Maryland ends North Carolina’s ACC-longest winning streak at 15 games with a 23-3 victory in Chapel Hill, N.C. Terps’ QB Al Neville throws a pair of touchdown passes, Maryland’s defense limits the Tar Heels to 210 total yards, and UM sets sail on its first winning season since 1962.
