Nov. 16, 1957:
Notre Dame stops Oklahoma’s modern-day NCAA FBS winning streak at 47 games with a 7-0 shutout over coach Bud Wilkinson’s Sooners in Norman, Okla. Notre Dame’s defense stops OU on drives at the ND 13, 34 and 23-yard lines while Fighting Irish HB Dick Lynch scores the game’s lone touchdown on a three-yard pitch play with 3:50 left in the fourth quarter.
