Sept. 12, 1942: Eastern Army All-Stars beat the New York Giants 16-0 at the Polo Grounds in New York City. As part of the Army Emergency Relief Series, the games were formed between NFL teams and the military All-Stars playing a total of eight games. All revenues went to charity.
