November 2, 1974: Legendary Ohio State coach Woody Hayes (future College Football Hall of Famer) earns his 200th career win against Illinois in Columbus. Buckeye tailback Archie Griffin (two-time Heisman Trophy winner and 1986 College Football Hall of Fame inductee) rushes for 144 yards, setting an NCAA record for most consecutive games gaining 100 yards or more (18).
