Nov. 18, 1978: Oklahoma halfback Billy Sims (1995 College Football Hall of Fame inductee) rushes for 209 yards and two touchdowns in the first half (1,762 yards for the season), passing Terry Miller's (Oklahoma State) Big 8 record for rushing yards in a single season. The Sooners beat the Cowboys 62-7 in Norman.
